Forever is a long time and when people get married, for some, I think it is hard for them to look so far in the future. It is hard to realize how long forever will be. This is a great poem which speaks of the commitment partners should have for each other.

Yes forever can be a long time. Would not be as much divorce today if people had more commitment in their lives for each other.

Lovely poem, optimistic and full of love. I especially like the last stanza. ending with the line: fulfilled as husband and live. Using the strong word 'fulfilled', you end your poem beautifully. Good job.

Wow thanks for the great compliment, How great that would be to see this on every frontpage of every newspaper.
We do not know why some couples get married, some do it for all the wrong reasons and really it was never meant to be in the first place. Then there are those that start out on the right foot but somewhere along the way they lose site of who they are as a Husband and Wife. It is not easy in this day and age, but trusting the Lord and each day working it through together, is what really matters.

Funny you should mention how I'm feeling today. Yesterday I read the funniest joke poem. I laughed so hard out loud that I thought my lung was going to get damaged. After a good night's sleep, well semi, I can breath better today.....deeper. I'm healing!!!!!! It's a great feeling!!!!!
