This romantic poem is beautiful and the words written reveal heartfelt as well. Excellent choice in artwork for this theme. I especially liked the second stanza.

Oh yes indeed Larry,
This is the entrancing and romantically caressing wafts
of delight, gratitude and fortune fulfilled in this kind of
love, where the heart holds court and compliment to
their truly deeply abiding and sharing love story; the kind
I remember you writing before, when first on this site!
Joyful inspiration to read and reflect on. Thanks for sharing!
Best wishes, Ronni

Thank you Ronni for the beautiful words and the generous 6 stars, that really means allot to me. Not sure if you caught it or not but this was a poem I had written up here before. I was going through my Romantic poems downloading them back to my computer and decided I wanted to really revive this one, so I used a Treasure Chest Revive Certificate on it. I am so glad you enjoyed it.
Won't belong I will do a brand new Romantic Poem again so be watching. you take care and have a great day.

This is sugar sweet and so romantic, Larry. I didn't see this coming. You are quite the poet. It is wonderful that true love has returned to you, a rich possession like no other. No, I have never lost the true meaning of love, I have been happily married to him for 44 years.
All my best,
Sal :+)

I did not not write this because I lost a love or anything like that. When I write some of my poetry I just try and put my thoughts into the type of poetry I want to convey at that moment. Much of my Romantic poetry comes from a deep love of Husbands and Wives loving each other forever and how they feel about each other within that love.
This was a poem I wrote while up on Fanstory the first time around, I thought I would use a Treasure Chest Revive Certificate to bring this one back to life again. I just don't have enough money to do that with allot of them I would like too. Take care.

Ah, I see. Most of my writings come from my true life experiences. Even my fiction is filled with many things that are true about my life. A well penned love poem though. It seemed very real to your experience. :+)

Sometimes true life experiences make for the very best poems and stories.

Good, good stuff Mr. 5000. It is clear that your flare for romance rivals that of your flare for patriotism and spirituality. Seems we have a patriotic, spiritual Romeo on our hands. Awesome

Wow such words of inspiration, never heard of a Patriotic Spiritual Romeo before but I'll take it. Yea this was a poem I decided to revive, I wrote that from the last time I was here about 8 years ago. Plenty of Romantic poetry to read I just can't afford to keep buying Treasure Chest Revive Certificates. Slowly working on my book of poetry thanks to your suggestion of Amazon. Will be looking over more of your work soon. Take Care.

This poem, What My Heart Longed to Know, presented in ABCB quatrains, finds the moment when the feelings of love are restored and a new era begins.

I think all people I've known, love to be loved, and love to to love Larry. I've been married to the same woman for 48 years now. This is beautfully written in the style of a poet that knows his stuff. I enjoyed reading these quatrains dripping with articulately styled abcb rhyming, well done, blessings, Roy

Thank you Roy. I was a little hesitant to spend the money on a Treasure Chest Revive Certificate, but I thought what the heck. That is one I wrote a while back when I was up here before. I had been away from Fanstory for about 7 to 8 years and just now in the last couple of days returned. I know the poem is way down on the list but I did not want to spend any of my member cent pumps to raise it up. Oh well. Thanks again for the lovely words and the 5 stars. BTW I think that is wonderful that you have been married for 48 years, way to go. Take care.

Beautifully written! The rhyme and rhythm is very good. Spoken like a true gentleman, not everyone could pull that off.
The picture you picked showed shared intimacy and suited you poem wonderfully!

I enjoyed your poem Larry and your rhymes and meter, I have once suggestion for line 14:
every thought yet unspoken
"of every though unspoken"
Love Dolly x

Dear Larry, this poem touched me as I see the person reading it coming to know that love found is love to be acknowledged by speaking thoughts yet unspoken. It sounds as though these lovers have yet to explore the depths of their love which at times are as turbulent as a stormy sea but if ridden through, the beach with white sand and the warm sun will be there before heading into the next storm. It's kind of a "yin and yang" thing. Excellent!

Hi Larry, yet again another lovely poem. It flows well from verse to verse and slides nicely as you read it. A very nice rhyming scheme. Well done as usual, :) Keith
