I love this poem because I can personally relate to it and I'm sure many more writers will. It rhymes nicely and come over as a short story in verse. It flows well and is easy to read and very meaningful. Great poem... Keith

It's a lovely emotional poem. But I wonder if there could be a deeper level? Did you lose this person, did they pass on? On the surface it has pretty words, but the reader might wish that you dug deeper into the experience.

I think you have a nice greeting card love poem, but the last stanza uses "special" too many times, as if to say you couldn't think of any other words. Also, there is a missing contraction in "of what (I) longing for." s/b I'm

Thank you for your review, believe it or not I intentionally used the word special that many times, because of what specail is.

I have never been able to find a word that really means the same.
Like for example the first line of the last stanza
"And for being that special person" I could have said "and for being that wonderful person", wonderful is nice and there are alot of wonderful people out there, but that does not make them special. See what I mean? To me special is unlike anything else. Short of thinking about it for an extra long period of time, I think I will keep that word all three places.
