Oh, Beth, I love this. Neither of you really realised what living a married life really entailed. And then you flooded the whole kitchen and the ceiling downstairs gave way. Oh dear. Only found one thing:
Evenually, we saved enough = eventually, we saved enough
As you know, I love this. Ulla:)))

Dwelling in an apartment with thin walls and noisy neighbors can be especially frustrating if the neighbors have such divergent hours as ours. We at one time in our lives had such neighbors./

You two sure had a lot of adventures, as a young married couple! After your episode with the washing machine hose, you must have felt like Lucille Ball, herself!

I didn't find too many errors in the story, this time. Here's a short list:

Continuing advertures in the life of newly weds
-->
Continuing adventures in the life of newlyweds [if this is a subtitle of the book, I have learned that it may be very difficult to revise it]

The funiture was from an earlier time,
-->
The furniture was from an earlier time,

One day, I was so engrossed in an episode of "I Love Lucy",
-->
One day, I was so engrossed in an episode of "I Love Lucy,"

***

I can't get over that split-level, walk-through bathroom! What a botched-up design. And what a terrible couple you had, living next door. I hope the poor woman had the sense to leave that man before he killed her. In your dreams, you were ready to go and rescue her! Sweet Beth.

    Thank you so much for the review. I'm glad most of the errors were out of this one. Newlyweds were just misspelled in this one so I could correct it.

Boy! I can remember watching those early episodes of "I love Lucy" that would have to be almost my favourite shows along with "leave it to Beaver" and "The Andy Griffith show" and "People's choice", I can understand how you were mesmerised by that show. I'm really enjoying the early years of your marriage, well done, blessings Roy

    Thank you Roy. We didn't have a TV when I was growing up so almost anything would have mesmerised me. Now I find it pretty boring. I"m glad you are enjoying my story.

You certainly had your share of adventures. A lot of sound like some of mine. But they were good days, weren't they, and we'll treasure them always.

I'm sorry I missed this the first time around. I am glad I read it this time.

I can imagine the mechanic's amusement over that incident. (This happened with a lawn mower and the mechanic told me to tell my husband that he wasn't even a beginning mechanic.)

    Thank you Barbara. Men always believe they should be able to do anything mechanical anyone else can do. My husband never tried working on a car again.

I never thought I would say it, but reading your story is like looking back to the early days of my own family life. Hard as times were, their was a certain simplicity to pay for what you can or do without. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

    I love it when people say my story remind them of there on live back in those days. It is fun to remember and realize how much times have changed and how much we have learned over the years. In some ways those were the better days. Thanks for the review.

    In so many ways, those were the better days. But you couldn't have convinced us of it then. LOL. I always enjoy your writing! Ric

I enjoyed this portion of your biography. You tell your story very well and keep the reader engaged. I remember some of the places we lived in those early years. I look forward to the next episode.

    Thank Mary, I appreciate the comments. This story is a chapter of book I posted eleven years ago that I renewed. The one I'm writing now is further along in my life.

A beautifully written story. Life brings us as many joyful moments as it does downfalls. The journey of life may not become easier as we grow older, but we do seem to understand it better as our perspectives evolve. Family is one of the most important, if not the most important thing in our lives. I thoroughly enjoyed your story written in easy style. Thanks for sharing!
