An interesting chapter that I can relate to. It is sad to see any member of the family going through what "Mom," is going through. It is also sad when family members are not supportive of the reality of what is going on around them and just put their heads in the sand. Well written with feeling.

Dementia is a terrible thing for all concerned it affect so many members of a family in so many different ways you have again expressed your feelings with honesty no spag well done regards Fuller

Again I had to remind myself to breath reading this and seeing just how deep the anger goes with those sister's of yours,but I am also put at awe for your insistence that your mom needed help.I was so appalled at your sister's resolve just to do nothing,and saying you where the reason your mom was having the problems in the first place,then blatantly calling you a liar,oh did that ever kill me.There goes that once crazy always crazy,and I've grown to actually hate that kind of attitude.I was relieved to find out in the end they did listen to you.Wow,job very extremely well done.Cranial Thinker

This is very sad. I feel for the families that have to watch this happen to someone they love. I loved the way you left this story, it makes you want to turn the page, My two suggestions are to removed some of the "mom" there are a lot of repeats not needed and this sentence:
I was furious and demanded they transfer her to the University Hospital. They refused. Sensing my anger,
They didn't SENSE your anger, you just said you were "furious" and "demanded" they KNEW you were angry.
Those are the only two I see. Enjoyed it!

Thak you for your kind review. My sister had her own agenda and taking care of my mother was not part of it.
