This is wonderfully written, as par for your book. I love the little details. You really capture the essence of a person that has chronic migraines. The black outs are unusual and lead me to think that you may have had a seizure disorder. Did you ever have an EEG done?

Was the scene with Teresa a dream? It seemed like it. The chapters are flowing very well together. This is clean copy with nothing to change. Great work! Seraph

Actually, no. It was later determined to be a hallucination....Thanks for the positive review.

As usual, I found no errors. Your life was beginning to go more bizarre than before. It is hard for me to comment because I have no reference in my life to any of this. I can only wait for the next chapter to see what is going to happen. Fortunately, I don't have to wait long.

Thank you. It is for the poeople with no knowledge or reference, that I wrote this book. I have met many, many people who have experienced similar abuse. It is my hope, that understanding the horriific damaage abuse can cause, can open the eyes of those who are unaware of its effect on the child, the family and extended family. Again, thank you for you continued interest.

I believe everything you say. Stress and such a difficult life leads to all sorts of strange things. A body and mind can only handle so much. You have done well writing this chapter. I feel for you and your family.

Very well written. No SpaG or typos in this one (that I found anyway). I know from personal experience how awful migraine headaches are! I also know they are often largely born of stress and anxiety! I try very hard to avoid both.
Great job.
All the best.

Loved it. I feel that readers will really be able to connect with Valerie in this chapter. Your narrative was excellent throughout.

It's okay, I know it was hard add the apostrophe
That is touching that when Valerie is experiencing such problems with migraines and memory lapses that Theresa comes to her and apologizes for her past failures to be supportive.
The final paragraph makes it really clear the extent of her emotional and physical problems - I am anxious to move on to the next installment to find out the outcome. Brooke

I did not notice any technical problems. The descriptions of the medical issues were well detailed. The feeling of being alone yet surronded by people is very well illustrated and very relatable for a lot of people. Nice work.

This is the first chapter that I have read of your autobiography and I really admire your bravery in writing it. A pastor once asked me if I could write my autobiography about surviving self-harm, she could guarantee that she could get it published - but I just didn't have the courage. I'm new here and by reading other people's brave and elequant writing, I am beginning to post - May be in time I too will find that I have written that autobiography after all?

I believe your courage has helped me alot in finding the courage to write about my own painful experiences (for me abuse and neglect within the psychiatric system).

I can relate to the "loosing time" thing, I have this too, (although less frequent now) When I disociate my legs can go week and I can't walk. Sometimes I am in a familiar place where I live and I can't recognise people and places that I know.

excellent work here, no revisions needed!

I hear from many who can relate to my story fom their own personal experiences. Writing has helped me greatly, but I will say it is a very difficult thing to do. I made myself a promise in the beginning that not only would I be honest about what happened, and the people surrounding me, but I also had to be honet about myself and things I did. Start out slow. Write about other things. In time you will be able to decide whether you are ready or not to write about the abuse. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, I intend to approach it exactly as you say, starting out slowly (writing some short stories/ articles) eventually I may find I have enough to create an autobiography

    Best wishes
