i enjoyed this piece because it was very realistic to me. i believe this happens often, and it's too bad that good gestures don't always work out. ideally, they would. there were a couple grammatical errors, quotation marks left off etc. but it was a bittersweet piece. i wanted to know more about the mother's recovery from the situation. i hoped that something positive came out of it for her late.
