This is perfect, soft, smooth and tremendous in every way. This evokes a timeless flow that uses color, a weave of words sewn like a perfect glove and I even am shocked that it makes me smell certain scents. That is a first for me. Well done.

This has such terrific rhyming - nice, flowing lines and a steady rhythm. It was a pleasure to read your sonnet. I loved the personification of the rose as someone charming and youthful, "All wrapped in passion, clover, sage and rhyme." Terrific end lines. A pleasure to read.

This has such terrific rhyming - nice, flowing lines and a steady rhythm. It was a pleasure to read your sonnet. I loved the personification of the rose as someone charming and youthful, "All wrapped in passion, clover, sage and rhyme." Terrific end lines. A pleasure to read.

This will end badly.

Nice sonnet except that it lacks definitive dialectical method and therefor there is no tension/resolution.
This would be easily remedied by forgoing the reference to petal death in the last line of the first stanza leaving the question of death for the volta.
Very nice attempt however.
The meter is excellent.

Lovely imagery in this well composed sonnet, yeltel.
I admire anyone whose poems both rhyme and flow beautifully as does this. Nice sprinkles of alliteration add interest, and the art compliments the words - great work!

This piece meets the criteria of the English Sonnet. Good perfect rhyming with vow/bow...charm/alarm. Each line having ten syllables adds to the consistency of the piece. Good alliteration with red/rose...virgin/velvet...symbols/souls...died/discarded. Clear message, good rhythm, good job.
