Well written, my Friend.

I agree, writing Patti's story out is good and necessary.

I'm sure it will touch many lives. I know it has mine.

Love,
Trish

lovin, you do not worrry and you write away. We love you and certainly understand, as mothers and writers, the need, the urgency, and the words wont wait. It matters not the rest of it...you tell your story and we will listen with our hearts and from this I assume our nerve centers that control anger...already, I am not feeling good about the comments..much love to you, dearest on, twomoon

Hi Barbara,
Yoy tell atale of great shock and worry so well.
I is so hard to accept how cold hearted nurses and Doctors can appear to be.
I can't speak for this individual but often it is a way of protecting themselves from the personal emotional trauma of seeing tragedy and suffering day-day out.

I hope writing this books allows you some release.
Love
Keith

lov'n peace,

I want you to know my heart is filled with compassion for you and your family. I've been there--done that. I don't have any idea how this story will turn out, but I will become a fan so I can follow you as you lead us through it. Thanks.

As my paralyzed father lay in a hospice bed dying of cancer he summoned a nurse to get him a drink of water.

"Can you get me a drink of water love," he asked.

When she came back with the water she pinched the skin of his withered hand and said, "Don't call me love!"

Dad begged mum not to say anything as he was frightened of retribution. Bloody disgusting.

On the flip side in the last hours of his life he was being overlooked by a wonderfully compassionate nurse.

The bed side manner is a vital component when it comes to patient care.

Thank you for sharing this Ma.

God bless.

Nick.

Hi, Babs.
I'm sure you're doing the right thing for yourself, in setting it all to paper.
I bet the 'hateful one' gets her come-uppance, knowing you. LOL.
This was a tragic way to hear the news from Pam, but I guess there's ne easy way. Write on. Ray xx

Hi L&P,
I have often wondered how people with so little compassion happens to choose the field of medical care-giver for a career. Having a child with an illness, I have encountered this situation many times and thought that maybe it is their way of not becoming emotionally attached. Whatever their reason it doesn't help the family any and leaves a lasting distasteful picture imprinted in the family's mind. Thank you for sharing this well written, vivid and difficult story. God bless and best wishes!

Thats almost too trajic for me.

As you're just getting 'your notes down' it read very good and nicely. I didn't spot any errors - altough I think its just a little hasty...needs to be padded out but that's something that can be easily worked on...

my birthday the twenty-ninth--comma needed after "birthday."
"Who is your daughter she snipped?"--"Who is your daughter?" she snipped. I think I would find another word for snipped.
pillow and planket--blanket.

I find it hard to believe that someone would be so blunt as to bo put things that way to a patient, and then the nurse not knowing who said it. I can understand why you were upset. This is a very touching story. A very good read. Best wishes. Ray.

Original review (three stars)
Dear sister, I am so sorry to hear this has happened. My prayers are there for you and your daughter. I know how this can be a very traumatic time for all of you. A positive faith will help her to heal.

While I understand that you just wanted to get this written, I think it is not fair to other poets to rate it on a different scale than their posts. So the rating is reflecting all the many spag errors in this work. If you fix them let me know, and I can amend the rating accordingly.

I know you may not have much time while facing this crisis, so I have taken the time to edit this in depth and all you need to do is make the changes in your posting. It would make the reading much easier for your readers.

When Patti called from the medical unit she had been assigned to (COMMA) she said, "Mom don't come down yet until they finish some

On the third day (COMMA)as I got antsier to go be with her, my oldest daughter called.

"Oh my God no! I cried (period)" I packed a bag

"Ok, honey (COMMA) I won't."

When I got close to the nurses (nurse's) station I caught a nurse coming from behind the desk. I asked her, "Did someone go into my daughters (daughter's) room today and tell her she is fourth stage cancer?"

"Who is your daughter (COMMA) she snipped?"

I gave her my daughters name. She replied, "She is no-where close to dying, but I haven (haven't) read her chart yet." This was not to be my last encounter with this hateful woman.

Pointing out Patti's room (comma) I went in. I didn't mention her sister calling me and neither did she. We both carried on an act. I was prepared to camp there infeffinatly (indefinitely). Patti was in a two person (two-person) room (COMMA)so at ten o'clock the hateful one came and told me I had to leave her room. It turned out she was my daughters (daughter's) nurse. It seemed (that)if they had a roommate you weren't allowed to stay in the room. Rules

Not large enought (enough)to sleep comfortably.

As I tried to make myself comfortable (COMMA) a different nurse brought me a pillow and planket. (Blanket)

Warm Regards,
with prayers and healing light,
rama devi

Bless you rama. I have developed a terrible habit of writing where we post. This story is so difficult to tell but it needs telling and I know it needs a lot of work. I so appreciate all the help I get. Thank you so much my sweet sister. L&P2u
