Nicely written, Jan, and I see you have already done an end run about the preaching to the choir I have chided you for before--LOL Keep writing, dear friend! Gerry

This story brought tears to my eyes. Everyone needs to know that God loves them, no matter what.
I don't know what else to say except this deserves six stars.
I hope you write a new story soon.

Only a single thing: Paragraph 3, "A wind gust snatched..." should be "snatches" to keep with the present tense you use throughout the piece. Otherwise the prose is sound.
A very touching piece, the sentiment is profound. Yes, it brought tears to my eyes. The love reaching out from your words was almost tangible.
Beautiful job.

Thank you so much for catching that! I thought I had them all, but it's amazing how you can read your own work and not see the nits! :-) I am so thrilled to read your wonderful comments.

Very inspirational writing. Great message as well. This seems unusual that I am reading your work moments after I see that you reviewed mine, but that's just how things work in this crazy world.
I enjoyed your work. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, the scenarios you use are breathtaking and they paint a wondrous picture of His glory. His love is everlasting and God knows every hair on our head. Thanks for continuing to preach to the choir. Sometimes the choir members need a little reminder.

Thank you! I am so thrilled to receive a six star review and your wonderful comments. Oh, yes, I agree about the "choir members." We all need the continued encouragement and love.

This piece is very uplifting and lends hope and love to the reader's weary soul. I especially liked the story of the boy lost in the woods. There is a similar story here in a small village where I come from. The boy told his parents that a woman saved him by showing him where to walk in a swamp filled with water, where in some places he could have slipped and drowned.
I found nothing to suggest, but I was thoroughly caught up in this piece. Nicely done.

Thank you so much! I am so glad you shared that story with me, too. A very wonderful reminder, just like I wanted this story to be.

Good preaching. Keep it up. Your illustrations tell the story very nicely.
I am a grandmother also--even a great grandmother many times over. I never tire of the story of Jesus--of His life and His love. You have done a great job.

Okiboy, I believe you could take your description here and turn it into any interesting write. Maybe, as is, it would be interesting, but it might branch out to more interesting avenues where you explain. What do you think. This suggestion may not turn you on but, I think this "long" (smile) explanation is interesting in itself. Of course it may be so because I read your poem and did't have understanding of it.
Thank you for the nice explanation, my friend.

Hi Jan:
I guess all the tweaking has been taken care of because I didn't find a single thing to bring to your attention. Beautifully written story of the love we will all receive simply by asking for it.
I enjoyed reading this precious piece. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

A very well written inspirational story hammering down the fact that Jesus will always be there for you if you call on him. Very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

There are so many stories here! Each tugs at our heartstrings. Each speaks of God who stands by in the hour of our greatest need. I didn't "get" the connection between the ants and the lost boy. They are truly separate stories, with the only connection being the line of ants, heading home.
Those of us who already believe, will continue to do so. The non-belivers, or the doubtful, might not read this and be convinced. Even so, I enjoyed reading, especially on a Sunday!
