I too have been in that very same spot Diane. My mom died on July 4, 2005 for elderly onset dementia. Until the day she died she knew who everyone was and what everything was for but couldn't remember what happened from one minute to the next, so repetition was common. This is a poignant, beautifully written accounting. Thank you for sharingand "for a lifetime of red geraniums and trailing ivy". . .

very nice piece of sentimental verse remembering someones lost pssion i have seen it with my own mother not able to do the things she used to do

I am sorry for your loss! I lost my mother ( age 98 ) a couple of years ago.
As for the nice write......I thought it was nice and told a story in a nice, yet different manner! Thanks for sharing this nice story in the format! Cletus Hardiman
