What a beautiful tribute to your mother. It made me think of my mother who also had pots of geraniums on her porch. She passed away in 2003 at the age of 97 as sharp as a tack up till the end.

A beautiful poem filled with meaniful merories. Your poem is filled with imagery and the action descriptions showed the mental state your mother was in. One of the hardest things one can go through is watching an elderly loved one slowly lose their sense of reality. God Bless.

This is a story.

Of love, of earth, of remembrance. I wish it was fuller, with more detail, because it takes me back, wishing I wasn't so far away from my mom.

Diane,

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Many times life is so unfair.

The theme is well chosen. The arrangement is well done. The descriptive words were very good. Atmosphere is full of vivid and delightful descriptions. The flow is smooth.

It is perfectly written and completely error free.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Diane, this is so well written and presented, with so much love and tenderness, also understanding of her disease. You have painted a vivid picture with your descriptive words, that made the reader easily feel he was there with you.
Your story telling is great. I enjoyed every line of your writing, a well deserved sixer.
Love
Pupa

Yes, what a vivid and poignant portrait you painted of your mother. A story to cherish. Geraniums will always hold a place in your heart, that's for sure:) I also lost someone from Parkinson's, so I know how difficult the memory must be.

Excellent.

Diane,
It is to watch a loved on deteriate before our very eyes. You've captured some of those changes tastefully in this poem. What a beautiful story. Sorry about your loss. Thanks for sharing such a personal and intimate part of your life.
Always, David

This was a beautiful story! I loved reading it. Very touching, and very heartbreaking. "for what once had been, for what would never be again," that line was very moving. Thank you for sharing this personal experience.

What a beautifully sad story in poetry. You have certainly captured the tragedy of Parkinson's and dementia, and have done it with marvellous imagery and description. I especially love the last stanza. Thanks for sharing this.
