A very engaging piece. From the beginning, I felt the tone and pace at which you intended me to read. It was very laid back, but passionate at the same time.

I enjoy the humor at the end with the reference to the telephone. I just turn my cell phone off, haha. Great work!

Thank you TSR. I liked your interpretation to my story because it's so true. Laid back but passionate, oh yes. Turning the cell phone off made me smile, haha. I hope to read more of your work.

I love this, Amada. It is written so beautifully ... such poetic thoughts. I love all of it, but especially these lines:

My world is barely contained by the caressing walls and the festive clutter in this room. You are at the center of it all, making everything brighter, and healthier, and lovelier.

I am so very, very happy for you and your fairy tale romance. I also got a kick out of the Sunday word puzzles you do and don't do every week.

A lovely read.

Thank you Ellen for the delightful review. Your words highlightening your special passage are special to me, the festive clutter is life, simply life.

Loved it. Felt the lazy Sunday morning, and smelled the cinnamon rolls baking. Took me back to Sunday mornings when all five of us kids would climb into bed with dad and read the paper while mom made breakfast. Later, sometimes, dad would make his homemade cinnamon rolls. Beautiful story and beautifully told. Okay, we have to say something we didn't like about this also, and I only have one small problem...the annoyed floor...how can a floor have feelings? annnoyance, etc. Okay, other than that...loved it!!!!

I'm so glad it brought back sweet childhood memories, ZephyBird. It paints a lovely family life, it good to keep those memories. The annoyed floor, I personalized it, it's annoyed because is full of clutter...writer's poetic license?

Amada,
How lovely to be able to enjoy a day with your husband and
not want it to end. It seems you have learned to enjoy each moment. I enjoyed your story and learning a little more about you.

Yes heyjude. I watched The New Earth with Oprah. It says to enjoy the moment of Now. That's life, to appreciate it and be grateful for it. Thank you for your interest in learning more about me. I am open....

I love the flow of this story, very poetic and eloquently expressed. Sundays doing nothing are the best days. They go way too fast. Thanks for sharing this :)

A wonderful tribute to the love of your life. You can feel the love it was written with as you read it. SImply lovely. You gotta love those lazy days, we need them more often than we allow ourselves to have them.

This story touched my heart. Maybe because I have a Dave too and am on a second marriage that has a stronger foundation than the first. I loved your descriptive words describing and comparing the two marriages. your also gave warm fuzzies, the way you describe the "home" Good job. Judy

Rituals of nothingness sound like a wonderful way to spend a Sunday. I thought the soft tone of the piece was fantastic. An excellent post.

Sounds like a comfortable, relaxing day, especially restful when the weather is horrible ;p

Don't know what you mean by this: We merrily pink twirl ???

"merrily pink twirl" was an inspiration that's all, meaning we are happily twirling around, as silly persons. I thought it was cute, so I wrote it before it faded away. Thank you for the review, RazberryBullet.

Ah, what a nostalgic and enjoyable diary entry to read. It had that cosy almost fuzzy warm feel to it that makes for a relaxing day.

Very nice
