It may have been simpler but not easier, and I don't think survival of the fittest would be a peacful way to live. Just the first things that came to mind. Good luck in the contest.

It was a different kind of peace! Yes, it was a simpler life, there were no destructive weapons and I agree organisms inhabited the earth in peace.

I don't feel that I agree with the thoughts in your poem. I feel that the prehistoric animals fought against each other all of the time. It was not a time of peace.
The words you chose described your feelings very well. It was your opinion and we each have our own opinions. All is okay.
