I thought this was well done. For me I see someone looking back at a mistake ("my bite") and hoping that they can move forward after that. It takes a moment to really take in your poem because you say so much with so few words. And I love that!

I like your choice of font which looks like an old typewriter. I like the lowercase look which is effective with the number of i pronouns. I have no idea what this is about but that does not stop me from enjoying the words few though they are.
