This is so fantastic, mystery poet. I voted for this then came back to review. Beautifully written and presented in this most difficult form.

My very best in the contest.

Hi
Nicely done poetic recap of the movie "Casablanca. I never saw it all the way through. But I would think everyone knows of the beach scene.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Happy May Day,.

Excellent entry for the "three by four" contest entry. you did a good job, great topic. I watched "Casablanca", it's a wonderful movie... a classic.

I have a couple of suggestions:

the lines have to be 3 syllables long but you have a line with four syllables:

Be/cause of her = 4 syllables

I would add a summary of the story behind your poem. You give a lot of information and not everyone has watched the movie.

The famous saying, "Here's looking at you, kid" Casablanca is a Black-and-white film (1942) Starring, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, two historic Hollywood stars. It's an American romantic drama film. Filmed and set during World War II, it focuses on an American expatriate (Bogart) who must choose between his love for a woman and helping her husband, fight against the Germans.

Casablanca is one of my all-time favorite films. I even have a framed poster. Your poem does a terrific job of summarizing the plot and introducing the main characters. I am not sure your rhyme always works, but I enjoyed the poem. Rod

This work has reached the exceptional level

This was a pretty darn good encapsulation of the famous story which O keep trying to get my wife to watch (over thirty years now) but can't seem to pin her down.

In my humble years of experience, I've rarely known a female to really get interested in the movie.
