Well, I totally agree with you assessment of yoga - it is for everyone. I've recently re-joined yoga classes to help with my back issues; although I have to modify quite a bit, I feel wonderful when the class is over.

My housecat does this same stretch - it's adorable despite the kind of cat that's doing it:-)

I honestly can't tell you what makes a good 5-7-5 poem, but I like the idea of this - a wild animal stopping to practice its asanas.

Thanks Pam :-) I'm glad you liked it. It's good that you have decided to go back to yoga too. I used to attend classes, but now I practice at home when I have the time, using a few of the favourite postures that I took away with me. The good thing about yoga is that you can customise the routines to suit you - just like the cats do ;-) x

Thanks Jessi :-) An asana refers to a type of posture in yoga. I think the feline's got it ;-)

If I curved my spine like that, I'd be in traction. When I played basketball a lot, I'd always stretch and never should have stopped. What a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest!

Yes interesting perhaps animals have it all worked out already in their natural habitat and we humans are striving to catch up - enjoy doing yoga myself and it certainly does calm !!
