Oh, yes, extend her stay. We've not had many warm days yet in Indiana, but Eclipse Day was pretty nice. I love all the yellow flowers and the blossoms on the trees. Great comparison to a romping child. Yes, spring brings a feeling of rejuvenation. Excellent rhyme in this, and I love the bouncy flow. Makes it sound like that rollicking child. Congrats on the contest win. judi

You're very welcome, Rod. I've had a hard time getting on track with both reviewing and writing after my fall and hospital stay. I don't think I'll ever get caught up with reviewing. I appreciate you for being such a faithful reviewer. Loved your poem. judi

This is really lovely for the spring poetry contest. I enjoyed it all and the vintage art added unique flair. Spring used to be more celebrated in the past, I think. Sending you my best today as always and my very best wishes in the contest.

This is absolutely charming and fulfils the prompt of being inspiring too! Your fine verse flows along with assured rhyme and all the joys of spring. Great personification and childhood fun. Well done! A strong contender! Debbie

Nice complementary picture art choice.
Good simile of spring as a romping child.
Vice reading flow and rhymes.
Good sensory images. Spring is my second favorite season--to fall. :-)

Very lovely poem to celebrate spring. It has a lively rhythm and metre, suggesting happy movement, dancing and joy, and fine rhymes. There is a note of anticipatory gladness, and the suggestion of the magic of nature.
Best wishes for your entry.

Spring will be romping in whether we like it or not, but I always find it a pleasure to welcome in into my life after a dull dreary winter, a fine post for the contest, love Dolly x

This is a lovely and unique metaphor comparing spring to a romping child. All energy just bursting forth. All joy. Great description and rhymes throughout. I really enjoyed your poem! Julie.

To say this is refreshing would be putting it mildly. I am so excited for the new season, although we are now having late winter here in northern Michigan.

Perhaps your poem shall usher in a new era of warmth and petals.

A lovely entry for the Spring writing prompt. Such pretty imagery in the descriptions and it flows wonderfully I love the old-fashioned art work as well. It gives such a nostalgic feel to this piece. Good luck in the contest.

This is a nice poem about spring and I have given it 5 stars as a nice poem about spring. I am not a judge, so feel free to ignore my opinion but this is a poem about spring and not about how spring makes you feel. The only mention of you is one line I love to see spring rollicking. 1/16 of the poem to me that does not fit the brief. I wish you well in your future writings.

Thank you, Mark, for sharing my poem and your comments. I was hoping the Speaker?s zest for Spring would come through as he describes her arrival.

Like I said I am not a judge so it is only one mans opinion. I am often wrong. I did enjoy it.
