Thisis a great presentation for this Solar exclipse, Debbie.I like the fun you had with describing this event, especially the 'interloper' line. I saw the eclipse on our news, quite spectacular. Good luck with all your Napowrimo writes.
cheers,
valda

I'll consider myself lucky if I get all of them done! lol We were at 99.6% totality (and what's .4 count for?) and it was pretty cool to watch it with the family. Just south of us it was completely obscured by clouds so we were lucky.
I do appreciate your comments, Valda!

Deb,

Yep. Another eclipse poem - but that's definitely okay. It's an event worthy of a few million words or twenty, I hear. And I get what you're saying. Our path is purported to be in the 90% range - but the beautiful heavy cloud cover made the percentage more in the 01% range. *smile*

BTW, I think the word 'interloper' is brilliant. No shocker it was YOU who came up with it.

Thanks!

Girl, you are (as always) far too kind. But thanks! I'll take it!
I am going to veer off track for a minute and thank you for the conversations we had about setting goals, interacting with other authors, etc. a couple of years ago. It got me off my butt, even though we didn't continue as support partners (or whatever we called it back then). I still set goals that are a bit high but not unreachable. I do appreciate you for tolerating my enthusiasm and for your kindness.
ANYHOO... I'm sorry you had such heavy cloud cover. We had 99.6% visibility, clear as a bell. It was fun to view it with my daughter, hubby, and grandkids.
    Blessings to you, Robyn!

I'm amazed at all the travel and the emphasis on the eclipse. People treating it as this rare phenomenon, when in reality, it happens twice every three years. Although it can't always be seem from the U. S. LOL.
Thanks for sharing.

Right?! Down in Burnett (TX), they threw a giant weekend rave. There are parties ALL over. Austin had 40,000 poeople flood into town, although part of them were there for the CMA awards. US? We wandered over to our daughter's house, sat on lawn chairs in the front yard and watched iwth her, her kids, and her aunt. It was cool, but worthy of all this hubbub? Nah...
    Blessings and thanks,

Texas is a madhouse - even more than normal for us! lol. Austin had an influx of over 40,000 people, there are giant raves going on, big block parties, etc. Steve and I just wandered over to our oldest daughter's house and watched from lawn chairs in her front yard with the grands. We had 99.6% totality. It was pretty cool... It dropped the temperature about 10 degrees, wdarkened the neighborhood... The best part was listening to the grands and our girl ohh and ahh.
    Thanks!

I did enjoy your poem! I like how you personified the sun and the moon to describe the eclipse. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.
