Yes buying a house is a dream many people hope to realise. But it's getting harder and harder to buy one.
In my country many inherit their parents' house in time.
But everything is changing .. houses have lost much of their value due to the new eco green laws the EU has imposed.
Europe is an old continent and most ( stone) houses can not be easily made green.
Also now everything costs three times as much building material etc.
And so the value of our houses have nosedived.
Our leaders have taken away our last ( and most precious) valued resource : our house.

This is a really interesting poetry format. You picked a perfect combination of words to get across the feeling of buying that home. It is a scary thing to make such a huge commitment, and you want it to be just right since you'll be stuck living there!
