This is another excellent chapter. Again, you are moving the story along nicely. I am getting drawn in with all the intrigue. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Hope your days are going well too! It's a bit chilly this morning and the girls are sleeping in. Quick time to answer the reviews and say hello.

Hi Carol, this is a terrific story, but I will be honest with you. I really do need to catch up. I have been so busy with friends of late, meeting up for meals and such. Typical Spanish get together. Now to catching up. Hugs, Ulla, xcx

I'm thrilled you are having fun with friends...that's how it should be. I am in North Carolina with my granddaughter and her three girls. She rented a condo on the beach. It's awesome! I'm in heaven sitting outside reading your review and listening to the waves. Thanks so much, Ulla.

That was a fun read. The boyfriend of Madeline in the police uniform was a new guy to suspect cause she would have recognized the cemetery man. So now we have 2 of the gang supposed to be murdered: Judge and Detective. Esther

Are you reading the story backwards? lol James was the guy at the cemetery. The boy guessing her is the Sheriff. The two ghosts you are referring to are Detective Ryan Hamilton and Judge William Parker.

Yep. You caught me reading backwards. I was scrolling through your portfolio from the bottom upwards reading what caught my eye. Same way I read magazines. Fortunately I read books all in one go if they are interesting to me, and you are a fine writer. Didn't have a chance to read things this week much so sorry if I confused you by my review and reading backwards. Esther

Not a problem.... I am on vacation with my great granddaughters so I have been on a hit or miss schedule myself. And this story is not my usual style. Thanks for reading.

Okay, you have me hooked on this story. I love it. I enjoy stories about anything supernatural, and this story meets that criteria. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

Supernatural it is! I've never written about ghosts so if I get something wrong please let me know. This is totally different for me. It's a mystery and crime but a patch of ghosts have been thrown into the mix.

Have a nice Easter ..... an a great day!

We're into Chapter 5 and the plot continues to thicken. Sandra has a lot of unanswered questions. The judge and the detective are dead, and may be ghosts. We haven't heard about Benny yet, and I wonder about James. I hope he's real. I remember Lorrie came out of the bushes at the cemetery, so I'm not sure about her. Sandra has her questions, and I have mine. I look forward to answers as the story continues.

    Good morning, Lorraine!
Guessing is a good thing! Dear sweet Lorrie has a few secrets of her own too! I think I will start to reveal who they are in the upcoming chapters so things can start to unravel and be solved. Glad you are enjoying. Thank you so much.

Oh! Well this story is haunting!

(Sorry, I couldn't help myself)

Ghosts are popping up and that hussy Madeline hasn't a clue about keeping a low profile...

You're in your groove, Sandra's on the move and I know there's lots more to come!

I hope I get a chance to write a chapter or two this weekend but I don't know with the girls...they like me to cook so they can eat...I'm enjoying myself though so all is good. Two more days and the contest ends. Fingers crossed.
HAPPY EASTER AND ENJOY THE WEEKEND.

So Ryan Hamilton is also dead - came to an untimely end as well. Now the plot thickens. Madeline is obviously up to no good, and James knows more than he is willing to share. Can't quite figure him out yet. Well written chapter, full of intrigue and it poses plenty of questions!

Another chapter or two and it should (I HOPE) become clear as to what Sandra's part is in all this mayhem. Glad you continued to follow the story.
HAPPY EASTER AND ENJOY THE WEEKEND.

This chapter is a good one as she discovers another of the men she met the day of the funeral is also dead, by violence. And the wife certainly isn't a sorrowful widow, except for not inheriting the estate.

Wow, a lot of mysteries. I can't wait to find out what this treasure is!

(Put a paragraph break when Sandra begins speaking):
James raised his left eyebrow, followed by a slight frown. "So much for tabling the questions," he said.
"Sorry, I'm just trying to understand what's going on.

(In the following, I would identify Sandra as the speaker. James just left the room so I thought he was the one headed to town.)
James stood and left the room without another word. Sandra watched him leave while her thoughts went wild.
*****
"Lorrie, I need some air. I think I'll drive into town.

So things aren't what they appear to, be, with Madeline planting a great big smackeroo on a young officer, what's going on? Did Noah did from an illness, or was he murdered? Mmmmh, well done Carol, happy Easter, blessings Roy
