A very lovely poem paying tribute to a mother's gentle and caring love throughout life. Your poem is presented twice - was that intentional? I wish you success in the sonnet contest.

Thank you again. No, it wasn't intentional. It is the second poem only I'd uploaded and I suppose I didn't trust that it had come before I saw it. If I have time, I'll try to reload it. I really wished to upload my artwork of Mother and newborn, but didn't know if I should as someone had borrowed it from FAR. Thank you again for everything. Two kind people sent me info on how to upload. If I don't this time, I should know next time.

This poem about a mother's love was beautiful. I like that you put the rhyming words in bold. It was clever. I don't think you need the text in your picture, though. It just shows the poem twice, which isn't necessary. I enjoyed your poem. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, kind writer, for your lovely review and I am just now uploading posted work on this site. Glad you enjoyed it. You are so helpful, would it be okay if I ask and you explain how to upload with an image, my art or from the site? Thanks. I understand if it is too much as you are busy, I know

I don?t know how to post from the site. To add your own art, there should be a link toward the top of the ?submit your work? page. It should take you to a page with a gray box. You need to click that box then locate the file on your computer. Click to add. Then it should ask if your picture is showing up. If it is, click yes or ok. I would have to be looking at it to give more precise details. I hope this helps

Thank you, thank you, kind writer. I copied your directions and those of Dimzdale1 and with both, surely I can upload it now. I just went by trial. Too, I copied the way I typed it and sometimes I read too much into more simple things. I owe you. Bless you and him.

An excellent entry for the Sonnet Poetry Contest. This was a lovely tribute to Mothers and everything they mean to us throughout our lives. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for sharing this sweet poem, and the explanation of what kind of poem it is. There are so many different rules for poetry that I have never been introduced to. When did you first start writing poetry? Not knowing the rules intimidates me. Esther

Thank you, dear friend Esther, for your kind and encouraging review. I have been writing poems off and on: in English classes in high school and college, and afterwards, more so I've been doing cards to encourage and celebrate people with their names in a particular card, often an appropriate poem to go with it, as I am able. Also, I have no ability except God, so I always ask him to help. Since I came on here, I've had to refresh what I had learned, some forgotten, for different forms; what it is and how it is done online. Don't let them intimidate you, Esther. Try only one poem at a time that you are going to post and research what you need to know online. You'll do just fine, I know!

Beautifully written. I have never attempted to write a sonnet. I shall use this as an example. Thank you for sharing. Oh! And good luck on the contest.

Thank you so much, kind friend, for your nice review. I have a lot of sonnets I've written but not in Iambic Pentameter, so I had to revise this one also. And, I accidentally loaded it twice. Thanks for your best wishes. I might have posted my art of a mother and newborn or other. I have to learn how to get both up. Would I be imposing for you to give me a tip or two? Thanks.

To post art in the poem you first have to upload it. If you do it second, then everything else disappears. Also to ensure there is no hick-ups the icon that looks like a picture frame, you have to copy and paste the URL only. If you upload an image and then paste it in with the work, it shows up twice.

Your poem beautifully captures the comforting role of a mother in a child's life. The imagery of a mother's presence soothing cries, comforting scraped knees, and dispelling fear with her voice was so beautiful. This is well written and so enjoyable.

Thank you, writer Michael, for stopping by and reviewing my poem, liking it. I apologize for the poem accidentally being uploaded twice. I need to delete the lower one when I find out how and how to load my artwork with my poem. I look forward to reviewing your work as well.
