You did an excellent job creating a rhyming poem with all the "atta" town names in Australia. Town names give you an idea about location, or tell where you grew up or live, but have no bearing on the outcome of your life. Therefore your poem is true...Names Don't Really Matter. You used some great place names, and I loved how you rhymed all the lines. I am curious about what these names mean. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

    I'm not sure of the meaning, but they do come from the original language of the ancient nomadic aboriginal people. I think I once read somewhere, the atta at the end of the word may mean community. But that may be incorrect.

I thought this was terrific. For me when I read into your poem it's about looking beyond names and labels. The imagery and rhythm of the poem is excellent. This flows so well. What an enjoyable read!
