What a luminous story! And beautifully told. I am so mad, though, because they just this minute closed out the contest. If I'd known I was that close to deadline, I'd have voted for this immediately. I'm so sorry, Harry, but I'm glad you didn't even need the extra vote. And no surprise. The story is full of imagination and, as a writer, dream-centered satisfaction. I loved the escape.
And that watch in the picture: is that the one you own that will be passed down to your son? It's exquisite.

This is a beautiful story. His treasure hunt map took him to a fantastic find, finding himself!
A few suggestions for consideration:
he as enjoyed the fresh forest air (as he)
His fingers grasp a weathered pocket watch (grasped--keep it in past tense)
Now he is buried under stacks (was)
at his once flowing creative juices (once-flowing)
Julie :-)

An excellent entry for the Found It Writers Prompt. I enjoyed this story. At no time did I feel. Like I wanted to stop reading. The pace was good and the storyline kept my interest throughout. Good luck in the contest. Nicely done.
