A gripping story and one that carries the reader along. Appropriate endings are always difficult, I find. The ending was the one part of the story that, for me, at least, was disappointing. What was I expecting? Not sure. Maybe that Margaret Sullivan would have 'come to life', so to speak; in a more meaningful way on the page, Maybe someone who once knew her enters the picture, bringing her to life.
