Beautiful! You set the stage just right for the supernatural ending, and that's what made it both touching and believable. Who among us doesn't entertain the notion that our loved ones who've passed will always be with them.

This is a touching supernatural story. Not the usual horror/thriller.

I have a couple suggestions for your consideration:

night-time hours. (nighttime)

James made sure he gave her red roses (he had given)

Yet, in the morning when the sun peeked through the morning mists. He was amazed (mists, he was)

. He looked up, there in the moonlight (up, and there)

This story, short as it is, is surprisingly poignant. We sympathize with Jim who became a night security officer at a cemetery so he could be close to his dead wife. We can easily visualize the scene at the end when she appears as a specter tending the rose by her grave site. Rod

This is so beautiful. I especially love the idea that he took a night job in the cemetery to be with her because he couldn't sleep alone. That's so moving and such a raw human emotion. Beautiful story!
