We all have dark nights of the soul. I do several things when I need help: Make it a little cold in the room so you can get under the heated blanket. It helps sleep. Studies have also proven that a heavier blanket can give you the "swaddled" effect and make you feel safe. Don't have an electric blanket? Throw your blanket in the dryer. Hope something helps. Karen

I was reading only yesterday, that unless we turn our lives completely over to God, we are doing ourselves a complete disservice by not doing sol only then will we be able to Claim what is the whole peace of God, well done, blessings Roy

This is a well-written poem. The first stanza starts off with a good simile. The message in your poem is good. The last stanza sums the poem well. We do like to be in control of our situations, but turning things over to God gives us peace. Nice poem.

God can bring us peace. We just need to go to with a willing heart. Thank you for sharing another beautiful presentation with us. Do you write these poems while trying to get back to sleep? My muse wakes me in the middle of night and plants scenes in my mind for me to write.

I wake up sometimes with ideas for a haiku I write it down but in the morning is bad. LoL

I wrote you a long message and I hit something and it disappeared. (*~*) I will tell you later. It was basically things that happened that reinforced God heard my prayer. It was amazing.

A very thought provoking post, Gypsy, it's odd because for some reason I have been feeling the same way for the last few weeks, not because of any illness....I think it's the world and all the negatives that's showing up, here there, and everywhere.
But, like You, there's a loving God, that's always with us...all we have to do is Pray!
He told us, ask and your Prayer will be heard...

Very nicely written poem. I find myself waking up early being I go to bed too early. The later I stay up, the better the night. Your words do prove that you might be a little weary; but like me, God is always there.
