Glenda, this is an excellent metaphoric render...Persona mirroring and marrying picture and poetic verbiage...A melancholic sparse and succinct
17 syllables depicting the depth of heart break (literally and figuratively).
Empathic contest entry. Good luck. teafor2

A sad and poignant piece about love lost and the pain that is left behind. A broken heart can mend, but it's never going to be the same. Very powerful entry for the contest.

What an interesting connection: that the tears that fall from our eyes are really our broken heart leaking. Quite fitting really. I love the analogy and it's written quite well. Great work!

Excellent king here, Glenda, for the 5/7/5 contest. I think your title was catchy and oh so fitting to the topics.

Good luck in the competition!

You did a great job with this 5-7-5 poem. Your syllable count was correct, and your message was clear. I agree that unfaithful lovers affect our hearts forever. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Once our heart is broken we weep and never forget it but the power of the heart to bend is strong and we give love a chance over and over again Glenda, a fine post, love Dolly x x x

WOW! This poem grabbed my attention. The words in this poem are powerful. Your 5-7-5 syllable count is on point for this contest. Sometimes I read something, and it make me sit back in my chair and pause. This is one of those times. Excellent complimentary picture. Nice job.

Oh, thank you so much for such praise. I appreciate it more than I can say. Some topics are difficult to write about but I am certainly finding it cathartic.

I hope this doesn't describe you! I know that feeling, following an unsuccessful relationship in college, but God led me to my true love after that. A great entry in the 5-7-5 contest.

Unfortunately, all too many of us know this feeling. Truly, the deepest pain I've know. Just recently starting to write about it. There is therapy in putting it in words. I am sorry you have had to feel that pain, but so happy for you that you found a true love, untarnished.
Thank you for your kind review.
    Blessings my friend,
