Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I can tell you have fond memories. I do too of my grandparents' house. My main suggestion is that on FanStory you need to physically put in a space for the paragraphs. I see in your manuscript they were there, but still need a space here for easier reading. Good luck with the contest.

Wow - such an enjoyable read - transported back in time and place to when life was a lot less complicated and families were a lot more self sufficient- no screens and children played in the great, scent-filled outdoors. This could be the opening chapter of a book!

You have some fond memories here and I loved hearing about this wonderful experience of this house full of activity and pleasurable times, a fine post, my Grandma lived in a high rise apartment, but I still loved staying with her, love Dolly x x x

I love how you shared Grandma's house. It paints a picture of a bygone era. I love how you share these wonderful memories. The house sounds so nice! Hessian-covered walls and kangaroo-carved chairs! Wow. I'd love to spend time in the back yard. I'm impressed with your details which only adds to your story. This is well written and enjoyable.
