I guess AI companions might not be all bad. I mean, unlike women, when you get tired of listening to them and just want some piece and quiet, just pull the plug an turn them off. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I have no use for AI and believe anyone who falls in romantic feelings for a bot must have some real issues going on. Much appreciate the review and your comments.

Every time I think I can't dislike AI more, it stumbles into some new corner of horror. I had heard a few vague things about chatbot dating, so thank you for providing a bit more detail on some of the specific companies.

I am curious if in your research there were any findings from medical professionals yet on the impact of AI-relationships on people's mental health. I know you mentioned your own innate feeling about it, but it does make me wonder if this type of AI-use may worsen psychosis in people who may already suffer from a disconnect from reality and what its impact may be on younger users. I would also be really curious to know what the demographics are of current users and which ages seem to be drawn in the most.

All of this is to say, your article is going to send me down into an internet hole to explore this topic more. Thanks for your clear take on the issue.

This is another well-written piece on the dangers of AI. I cannot understand why anybody would go so low as to engage emotional attachments to a bot as you call them. Is there no sanity left in this world? I for one wouldn't touch such an app with a ten-foot pole. Just the idea of snuggling up to a bot gives me the creeps. Let's rid ourselves of this mess all together, shall we?

Crazy to have to resort to an AI bot for companionship and relationship. No matter how good they are, they are no substitute for people needing people, learning the give and take in relationships, and no false reassurances of their personal worth. What are we descending to? Unthinking non-people? Crazy. Thanks for sharing your article.

So, you really like those companion bots. Not! Actually, they seem like a way to help humans lose contacts with real life. They do enough of that with many of the influencers they follow on the internet. Good article that is well written.

Agreed. Some of those influencers can be something else, too. A relationship with anything AI is not where I would be. Appreciate your comments and the review.

Hello Brett,
I appreciate the in-depth research that you've been doing on AI. If there is a dollar to be made, someone will be working on it. It goes far beyond monetary benefit though. We already have a dumbing down of America's children by the public school system. At what point do we cease to be in charge of anything in our lives if we give in to AI? I understand that people are lonely, and some folks, for whatever reason, haven't learned the skills necessary to make them attractive romantically to another person. It's kind of scary that they would allow AI to fill that void, but on the one hand, people have been escaping with romance novels for years. This is obviously much more sinister and dangerous. Thanks for ringing the alarm. I hope people stand up and take notice.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

I shouldn't be surprised at this information, but somehow, I am. I can't believe people would fall for something like this, but they did vote Biden in office, and some still believe he's doing a good job. Common sense isn't so common. Thank you for sharing.

I think there was a movie made in the past ten years about a man in love with a computer generated girlfriend. The more people pull free from reality, the more screwed we become as a society. Great research and story telling. Gretchen

I think there is genuinely a market for AI, but I must admit, I wouldn't use them fo writing a poetic tribute for a friend, spouse or child, but some might, and as a companion, yes, some would prefer the company of a Bot, to a person. Well done, Brett, blessings Roy

WOW! This is unbelievable. Once again, good information concerning AI companion bots. I was glued to the screen reading and trying to process the reach of AI technology. I have got to bookmark this. Needless to say, I wish everyone could read this and get a grasp of what's happening. Thank you for sharing.

Something would have to be seriously wrong for somebody to become romantically involved with anything AI, at least in my opinion. Appreciate your comments and the review.
