That is a very generous offer that Ayesha is making to help in Bapit's recovery. I hope he does continue to improve and that his relationship with Ayesha continues to grow as well. Another excellent chapter.

It warmed my heart that she is going to foot the bill for his prosthetic leg. I like the rich descriptions throughout this chapter. I could see very vividly the colors and textures of the materials. Great chapter. Gretchen

Lovely stuff Tony,
Just so you know that I am still here and still reading.
I am anticipating some delightful twist...just around the corner.
One very small typo I think, here "...If I may say so, you are the..." (para beginning "It has nothing..." You have a double space after the comma. That's 15-minutes in the naughty corner, over by the drink cabinet.
cheers Tony, stay well - this is all good, solid writing.

Done my fifteen minutes penance. Found a passable claret to assuage my guilt. Mea culpa!

Hi Tony. What a great chapter this is and so uplifting. I loved it. Ayesha is something else alright, and a breath of fresh air. She's the epitome of optimism, but she does realise its limitations. Ulla:)))

Thanks very much, Ulla. I appreciate your comments and ongoing support. Ayesha certainly seems to have turned her attitude around sine Bruno's demise.
All the best, Tony

I love this chapter. I'm happy Ayesha can help Bapit with the medical bills. I hope he feels about himself soon. The story is moving along nicely.
Well done, Tony

Of course, with a prosthesis like the one that Eyesha is paying for, there is not need for her to be his carer. He'll be able to live a normal life again. I'm sure that Eyesha won't let him believe he's an invalid, she'll make sure he carries on his life as before once he has his leg back. This was such a great chapter, Tony, I really enjoyed it. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Thanks very much, Sandra, first of all for your comments and encouragement and secondly for delaying your review to award a sixth star. Yes, once Bapit regains his balance, he should be fairly independent. Let's hope.

The 'Let's hope.' Now makes me wonder if he will!! :))

You described a gruesome, albeit realist fate for arrested Major Suttikul.
I marvel at you cross-continental interchanges.Loved the ripe banana van comment.I wonder how you keep all these characters straight, like Somchai and his dogs, Qyour attention to detail is incredible.A delightful read all the way through.

Comment from Gloria ....
I thought this another great chapter to the story. Suttikul was certainly dispatched rather viciously and quickly, but that is as should be for a man of his, shall we say, stature.
The interaction between Bapit and Ayesha remains one of insecurity and determination so there is a lot to explore there.
I quite enjoyed the image of the pair leaving at a rapid pace out on an adventure and of course the panpipes.
Very well done. :)

Comment from Jim Wile
So, one threat to Ayesha down with the demise of Suttikul, but what does Lieutenant Kamul have in store for her? No end to the intrigue.
I enjoyed how the doctor, despite saying things Ayesha didn't want to hear, still hit home with an issue that must be resolved eventually. I can understand how Bapit doesn't feel worthy of her, but I sense this is a story of how love conquers all, and that station in life is more in the mind than anything, and the heart doesn't care about such things. It will be an education for them both. - Jim
