Hi Iza, yes cats are independent creatures and that's why I love them. I've always had cats. But their curiosity and independence can get them into trouble. The best of luck. Ulla:)))

Your cat picture drew me in immediately. It fits your 100 word story entry very well. Cats are known to be born with an independent nature. They are a good example of having free will in that they inherently want to do whatever they like. This can be both good and bad in that freedom from being a humans possession can quickly lead to dangerous encounters and starvation from the lack of care and protection. Independence often comes at a high cost. Best wishes with your intriguing entry!

Technically, this seems to be written well, but I don't understand it. She sounds like Jesus the way you describe her. Not sure how Willy figures into this when you could just refer to free will. Hopefully, the judges get it.

Good luck,
Pam

The Dolphin is a very heartwarming story. The cat that roams the jungle must be intelligent to save herself and her cubs. When they pounce on another animal, can you imagine the force? You bring us to the jungle in your story.

Don't be shy, speak up, and tell us what you really think. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
Free will? I really don't know if there is such a thing anymore. I hope there is. Karen

Hello Iza. Your short story is intriguing and clever. The play on words adds a bit of fun to this short, short write. You should have saved it for a contest. It would have won. :)

I don't know what I believe about some things. Are we truly pre-destined to where we are going. How about our life paths? Maybe free willy is the direction for me. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Without some discipline in life we tend to wander about without a purpose. I think your words here are wise and thoughtful, even though you added some humour in your delivery, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I am not exactly sure of the message you are trying to convey to you readers, but I believe we are all born with the freedom to make decisions within our circumstances. Sometimes, our decisions can even change our circumstances. Sorry I missed the mark, but I wish you the best in the contest.

Well this is a strange and rather cryptic short story flash! The image is eye-catching and the caption reminds me of Oscar Wilde's quote: "Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Moving on from that, your subject in the prose wants to be Free Willy but accepts that their life has taken a different course and that his longing for freedom will instead serve to jeopardise in the "mighty swamp of the jungle" of life. Apologies if I've gone astray here. I like the thought-provoking nature of your post and wish you luck! Debbie
