I want to compliment you on the proper use of this statement most people say I could care less That's not very strong is it? : "Besides, I couldn't care less about Bruno's ashes." how easy it is to scam people and how simple it is to be scammed. "Not if you do your job right, sport. She hasn't a clue about money, except how to spend it. When she comes into your offices to ask for advice, it shouldn't take you long to talk her into investments that ensure it all comes back where it belongs." I'd never seen this expression before until I read something from the authors the Gears and they use this phrase in their writing frequently. So I began to use it now:
"shouldered his way through the crowd." the reader knows more than the characters in the story which makes it really good.

Thanks, Liz. I appreciate your comments. I agree with you entirely - 'could care less' sends shivers up my spine! It's so good of you to continue engaging with my story. It means a lot.
Sorry about the late reply. I've been battling COVID for the past week. All good wishes, Tony

Now I was not expecting Ayesha's husband to still be alive. I definitely want to know what's going to happen to them both next and especially how Bruno is going to manage this situation. You delivered this twist in an excellent way. Another brilliant chapter. Are you published by any chance Tony?

Hi Jacob. Thanks so much for this complimentary review and the sixth star. Greatly appreciated.
I've had five volumes of poetry published by a small publishing house in Adelaide, and I self-published a novel called Into the Lion's Den on Amazon Kindle in 2020. All are available on Amazon under the author name Antony Fawcus.

Hello Tony
A great ripping yarn this is turning into.
I've nothing to add except praise - and one can have too much of that, so for your own good I will remain silent, for now.
cheers

Thanks, Phill. It won't do for me to get a swollen head. That'd mean I'd have to replace my favorite hat. Nonetheless, I appreciate that sixth star. Thanks for the pick ups in the last couple of chapters. All fixed now. Just a couple more chapters to go.

My guess is they want to get rid of her. That white Holden they didn't notice spells trouble. I just don't know how yet. Usually I can figure out what's about to happen, but you're staying one step ahead of me with this one. Nice job.

Thanks, Cindy. With luck, some of these things will become clear in the last couple of chapters. We're on the home run now. All good wishes, Tony

Poor Ayesha, I'm worried she is endangered. I hate the way she is manipulated. At least she is rid of her husband. I wonder what is he up to. Such a creepy lier.

Well done, another excellent chapter.

Auesha is being deceived about the death of her husband who was drug dealer. The urn that should contain his body contains drugs but they have been switched. Now her husband will try to see she is cheated from her inheritance. I not sure who is following in the white car. I look forward to more.

A lot of twists in this story and some more surprises for Ayesha I'm thinking. You are telling a complex tale of love and abuse, and greed , I don't know how you aork it all out, but well done Tony.
Cheers
Valda

You are weaving quite a web for Ayesha to be stuck in here. Suttikil is getting more sinister by the post. Now he is smuggling heroin in Davidson's urn. Creepy. And Davidson is weaving his own net. He plans on relieving Ayesha of her inheritance through the financial advisor, behind closed doors and in light of her ignorance of these matters. And the trip to Australia is sweeping Ayesha from Bapit, and it seems Suttikil has his eye on maybe finishing the job there. Lots of suspense building, nicely here. estory

You are a master of twists and turns. In a story. The Major was very convincing. Bruno seems villainous and dangerous. The plane arrival was believable. The urn switch simple and effective. A good read.
