Well, author, I enjoyed this "share your story" entry to the contest.
I've found myself lost a number of times in putting the pencil to the paper. A loss for words and thoughts. This had led to self doubt, especially whe I looked at my writing compared to many other talents on this site.
Until I realized, I'm me. That's who I am, and be thankful in the abilities I do possess

I like this and the sentiments you express so wisely. Your story evolves well with a fitting and relatable conclusion: that, in order to shine properly, we need to have self-belief so that our work isn't overshadowed by doubt. Your story is told in a lucid free verse and I like the shortening of those pertinent lines in the middle. Maybe not repeat 'contract' so much? This author's contract is bigger than a publisher's?
