I got sucked in like most women after menopause. You wake up one day and find you have 25 pounds of ugly fat attached to you and no diet or exercise will remove it. I tried three different types of pills, one made me gain weight, one didn't let me sleep much, but I still weighed the same, and one did nothing at all. We still have hope, that is the human condition. Good writing here. Karen

Information overload? Is that the gist? And you, in turn, bombarded me with the same to the degree that I couldn't figure out the question to answer even after three readings. But maybe that's the point - it's not my question to answer.

Oh my! I know what you mean, and once we move away from God, we're more susceptible to it. I'm talking about the real God not the counterfeit one on the Internet. Satan is working overtime to make us think we need him and that he can offer us something that he really can't.

It is for precisely this reason, and many others, that I am not on social media. We are surrounded with enough advertising and competing voices already - if my phone was pinging constantly, that would either cause me distress or worse, make me develop an addiction to it. I'm on board with your stance!

I love your thought essay, Iza! And my favorite sentence was "many people try to profit from our ignorance by promoting unproven novelty products." That's a great warning and I agree with your conclusion that we just need to focus on God and His blessings and He will give us the strength for all we need to do.
