Wow that is solid. Also deep and also very very relevant today. Very well written with a great idea and a fine message that needs to be said and has been a problem with humans since the dawn of time and may continue to be so great entry. I see no issues with grammar best of luck to you! have a good afternoon!

No sure about the effectiveness of the shaping of this, but the content is heartfelt and important. These things need to be said, and your personification of 'hope' is perfect. Well done.

Let us not forget the hungry, and maybe even less visible, the hopeless. They live among us everywhere. Giving also means to comfort and care. To give of ourselves. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I enjoyed this poem. Image great and nicely depicts the theme of the poem. Christmas is a lovely time for many but also a time of sadness and loss for many. All the best for you at Christmas. Keep writing and importantly keep happy.

Yes, it's true, there are ads on the TV appealing for help, in diverse countries we have thousands of children starving, innocents guiltless, paying for lack of generosity of rich countries, beautifully written Iza, great job, blessings Roy

You are absolutely right. But for forgetfulness, a thousand well intentions are flushed, and untold masses suffer deprivations. And so avoidable.
Best wishes. Maybe your poem will cause some to remember.

Nice poem. I really liked the wavering rhythm of the free verse, and the imagery was excellent and original. "Hope fluttering on tired wings" really captures the experience of the world today, where so many people seem to just look after themselves or try to get away with whatever they can get away with. The question at the end is a challenge; will we be one of those who turn their back on the forgotten? estory

Iza,
The exactly right question to ask! The current state of our world is deeply troubling, discouraging, disturbing, dismaying... All we need is Love. Thank you for your poem.
Richard
