Another fabulous tribute to a well known person. I think these should all be in a book dear Debbie... Of course who dosent just love good old Frank...
I keep thinking of all the other great ones...Like Bob Hope, Lucille Ball,
Gary Grant...
All oldies but goodies...
You really have a knack for this!

Thank you so much, Lisa! I really appreciate your kindness and support and 6th star! I have to say this one was a struggle with so much material and, each time, I say never again but keep getting drawn back! Thanks again, Debbie x

Good heavens, this poem, and your notes are epic! I enjoyed it tremendously, and it happens to be on a topic I love -- ol' Blue Eyes and his music. "Stormy Weather" is a favorite, although the original was performed by Ethel Waters in 1933.

Thank you for teaching me about Frank Sinatra. Of all the famous musicians you covered so far, this one I knew the least about. But as before you artistically used his song titles in this biographical poem. Great job! I would give a suggestion but I wouldn't want to add to the stress of all your diligent research!

Hi Debbie,
John did give you a hard subject, but you did it justice. You must have to do a lot of research to do these poetic bios.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great rest of the week.

I greatly admire your posting and can only imagine how much research and time went into making it so successful. I also like that you give a lot of information for each stanza in your author notes. A stellar accomplishment, Debbie!

Well, this was a tough one! I must confess to not knowing much about ol' blue eyes, so this was certainly educational. I certainly have a much better appreciation for his contributions now. If I might make a small suggestion, you two stanzas in a row that include "would then" in the first line--is there a way to possibly rewrite one of them so the phrase is not repeated? I

Thank you so much, Ben! You're right, I really nearly gave up. So many of his titles are in the first person, spoiling the narrative, and also about love (arguably one of the worst rhyming words:)) I'll take a look at those stanzas as I always appreciate advice like this. Take care Debbie

Sinatra was my husband's all time favorite singer. We followed his music from his early days through to older years when his voice had changed. Every year I looked forward to his televised Christmas special. Sorry it is no longer aired.
You did a phenomenal job capturing the highlights of his life and musical career in rhyme. I also enjoyed the details in your extensive narrative.

Now I'm giving you six because of how the love of this artist comes off.
I never got into his music but I'm inspire by this to write one about my favorite artist, Demi Lovatio.

That's a good one, Debbie. Rhyme and meter are very good. Your notes are excellent - a concise biography of Old Blue Eyes. He was certainly one of the best.

I really loved this, Debbie. Another wonderful addition to your collection of poems about famous people in which you teach us so much, both through your beautiful rhymes and your thoroughly researched notes.
Sinatra had one of those great voices and distinctive styles that made him a true icon. His music was so easy to listen to, and he gave us many memorable hits over the years which you've terrifically highlighted in your poem. Excellent job! - Jim
