Ciao !
A very heartfelt poem.
the death of any child should be a tragedy .. the death toll has reached 4.104 children.
Hopefully both sides come to a ceasefire so children , women and elderly can receive international aid.
These tiny victims have no home , no future.

I am not a fan of the shortie, Debbie, but you have struck a nerve here. Great picture. These wars have gotten to me. I think you have a winner here.

Even though it's short, your poem is great as usual. The words are incredible, so well chosen. I love alliteration and you've managed to use it very effectively.
This is such a sad situation... I wish humans stopped fighting.
Good luck in the contest.

If I were prone to weep, this would leave me weeping. It is breathtaking in its simplicity and truth. A verbal picture of "man's inhumanity to man". I don't know who said that but war is certainly an example of it.
Truly exceptional writing.

Hi Debbie, War is a terrible thing for whoever falls victim to it. So many lives are lost in a terrible game.
You've written a beautiful 3 line poem for the contest. It says it all. Ulla:)))

This is so weird, Deb, but I KNOW I reviewed this on Sunday, yet somehow, I must have never his "Save." My apologies.
What I said was that it reduced me to tears in the biggest way. Prior, I'd been kind of stockpiling my feelings about what's happening in the Middle East into an emotional freezer. But with your haunting words, I could not ignore the excrutiation factor any longer. Wars are a travesty foisted upon the children and, therefore, shameful beyond words. You captured it perfectly with your phrasing as well as the poignant photo you found.
Well done...but sadly so. xoxo

These pictures now coming out of the news are devastating. Rows of newborn babies just waiting to die. What's going on in our world? Your wonderful review is, as ever, greatly valued. I appreciate so much your words and your empathy in this dreadful crisis. Bless you, Elle xos

I can't imagine being raised in a situation like that. No matter how rough things get, I am fortunate to be here. But things could change overnight. We must beware. We do not want our children to grow in a war-torn country.

What an emotive poem. I can feel the harshness of the war and how the children are left to fend for themselves. It reminds of the three year old that is being held hostage and both her parents are deceased. Where do you go from here? Very well done.

What a very sad powerful piece of well written poetry! You have managed to convey your thoughts and feelings about what is happening in the current war in Middle East very well in just 3 short lines. Excellent imagery and alliteration. Well done!
