Thank you so much, Linda! I'm so grateful for this lovely review and thoughts. You're right about the time taken but the beauty of Cash is in his wealth of song titles which are very varied and not all about love for once, that impossible rhyming word!:)) Thanks again xos

This is a six--no doubt about it for me! What a piece of work! Did you clock the time it took to craft this piece? I'd love to know how much time went into this, from image to video to notes. This is very high-quality work.
Thank you for presenting.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! And for asking me about it. That's such a kind thought, especially tonight, because I've been trying to work on another one and feeling a bit despondent:(I would say, off and on, about 3 days. But I'm never completely satisfied right up to the time of posting, afraid I've left something out. In fact, I added stanza 3 yesterday when someone took issue with the fact that I hadn't included enough about his poor relationship with his father. Which then meant I had to find another song title to fit. With this biography, however, Cash has such a wealth of songs that he made that aspect reasonably easy for me. Others I've done are a pain because so many of their song titles are all about love or using the 'first person' which spoils the narrative. But thank you again. I will treasure your encouraging words (which might even inspire me to get my act together tomorrow:)) Debbie

You're quite welcome. I can tell from this message that you are a perfectionist, which is no surprise. Good luck with your next piece --remember that it's hard always to please everybody. Good luck and happy writing.

Thank you so much. Out of interest do you have a favourite subject for this kind of verse?

This is a most interesting question, and I don't know if the name that first comes to mind would provide enough depth to work well. However, I have always been drawn to Susan Boyle--the Scottish singer with a mezzo-soprano voice. She has struggled so hard, so many times, and achieved so much. She has had mental challenges, Asperger's syndrome, and even a recent stroke. She is just such an inspiration to me.

Yes, I know her, originally from Britain's Got Talent. The trouble is I'm finding even celebrities like Nelson and Cash are not always that well-known among members which amazes me...So they have to be able to relate which narrows the field a bit. But I will definitely take a look at Susan's background.

Please don't feel pressure on yourself. I was only answering your question with the first thought that came to mind. You need to work with subjects of least resistance and most acceptance.

Johnny Cash was my mother's absolute favourite country and western singer, so his music was something we grew up with. A wonderful tribute to his talent.

Very fun tribute and information on Johnny Cash.
I like him but my Dad LOVED his music. He was a true and true country music lover but always said none compared to good old Johnny Cash!
Your video is one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Wow what a wonderful tribute you have written for Johnny Cash. You have incorporated the names of some of his songs extremely effectively without any of them seeming to be forced. Very well done!

I like Johnny Cash's sings. The lyrics are soothing and music to the ears. He is definitely a legend in time.
I learn something new:
At age of five his kin would send him working in the fields.
Those stricken times would always blend his songs with cotton yields.
You chose a good subject to write about Johnny Cash.
Thanks for sharing the title of his songs.

Thank you so much for this kind review and thoughts! I must admit, I was very grateful to him, when writing this, for his massive array of song titles from which to choose. I was spoiled for choice:) Take care Debbie

There's no one like Johnny Cash. I sighted him at Billy Graham Crusade once. I was an altar counselor at one of the crusades. He's hard to miss from the front of the stadium. I appreciate his talent and turn around to Christ. He had a real tough go there for a while. Thank you for sharing.
My favorite: Ring of Fire. No one ever guesses that one.
Sending you my best today as always.

Dear Sally, thank you so much for this kind review and all your thoughts! He was a bit of a mass of contradictions but a powerful presence I bet. My video choice was between I Walk the Line and Ring of Fire. My husband opted for the former, sorry:( Thank you again, Debbie
