This was a beautiful poem. Now tht my wife is gone, I have just spent a couple of days with my daughter and am overjoyed to have done so. This was a "no rules" contest, but I don't know if spelling is considered, so let me say there were two small typos, both in the 7th stanza: the words should be "married" and "children".

Your posting holds some very good advice. There is no need for a separated or divorced couple to be at each other's throats, or to put each other down in front of the children.
Just a few typos to consider:

Even if the marriage ghould (should) sever
Their xhildren (children) should support them then
Remember all you (your) parents have done for you
