That is a beautiful poem. It shows the writer that there is love out there in the world even though sometimes it doesn't feel that way. To find something you didn't know meant so much to someone that you gave them is a wonderful gift when in times of sorrow.

Excellent title for this beautiful love poem Willie. Truly we often find that is where true love resides - between the pages.
I enjoyed the romance of the rose and the endearing and caring gesture of true love that never leaves us.

This classic romanticism; the imperfect love, and you had the perfect romantic symbol, the rose. The rose with its beauty and its thorns, the pleasure as well as the pain. And here it seems to capture the poignancy of a lost love, as it is found pressed between the pages of a diary. That moment that brings all the pleasure and pain together again. estory

What a lovely remembrance on someone who left this life too soon. You have captured the love and the anguish of losing a loved one. I agree that rhyming poems are my favorite, even if it's not end rhyme but inside rhymes. Also if it has a rhythm to it i consider it a poem. But the new style with just words to express anger and hatred I am not fond of. There is a place in poems for hatred, but it has to flow and not be spit out.
