I can't come up with anything that would prevent me from giving this a six-star rating. This poem pulled at my heart and stirred my emotions as one who has also lost a dear one. It is such a nicely presented entry.

Men are routinely guilty of doing the wrong thing at the worst time due to our ignorance of what women really want from us. When we get it right and are rewarded, we are beside ourselves with sometimes too much bravado.

Awe! Love a good love story. We are born to die, but to live again. Love that she pressed the rose between the pages, only precious things are meant to linger.

Willie, this is a beautifully written poem. The rhymes are nicely done and your word choices are excellent to communicate your message. The last stanza is particularly good. It's not overdramatic, a great touch with a gentle hand. Terry.
