Iza, this is really well done. The current seemed to have many meanings. It seems Alter Ego's current purpose is to get her out of depression and find something meaningful for her. And it did.

I thought you worked the wars into the piece very well, and the dialogue with Alter Ego about the current was nicely done. A virtual six for this one. Terry.

Your imaginative little internal dialogue here resonates with most I would think. We're so powerless to make changes and in the process end up feeling sorry for ourselves all the time under the weight of it all. Only one thing to do and that's escape! Small edit with 'Murphy.' But, as ever, you create a magical and enjoyable read. Debbie

Nice job with this little conversation with yourself. I love the personality you put into the dialogue of these pieces, the witty little nits as the two contrasting characters seem to contest for your soul. On the one hand, there is some chink of hope, a current of change. On the other is despair, and the desire to make the most of what we have left before it all blows up. And as little people in a big world, we are all caught in between. estory

This piece of writing reminds me very much of myself. We seem to have a very similar mindset. There is doom and gloom everywhere. The only place I feel happy and at peace is at the coast. Enjoy your trip to Honduras in the Spring!

This story, Current of Change, seems to capture one's driving force trying to awaken the dead-sleep of denial that it is time to git while the gitting is good.

This was certainly a new way to approach how we think. How did you come up with this? I admit it had not occurred to me. You are very creative. Also, I think the difference in type color which usually irritates me in other stories, works quite well here.

We are entitled to be selfish from time to time. We are the star in our world after all!

Thank you for sharing this us. I have a feeling many of us are in the same boat as you are.

Our neighbors across the pund are electing/slamming (pond???)

Yeah, I feel that current more like an urge to see all I can before is gone!" (before it's gone! ????)
