This is a very powerfully expressed verse about life in the sewer and you have created some very vivid images of this monster that thrives in darkness forbidding light to any vulnerable soul drawn to its clutches. I'm wondering if the monster represents the evil being perpetrated on the world via warfare, especially because many of the protagonists exist in underground cells of terror. A great entry for the contest and I wish you luck, Michelle! Take care Debbie

This is a very interesting and thought-provoking piece of poetry written for the "A Monster" contest. It is vividly descriptive as in
" Each sadistic ugly beetle,
wears the death mask of a monster."
Well done and good luck.

Your poem is nicely executed, and you used the writing prompt well. The writing has an excellent flow from beginning to end. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you for your review. Especially the comment on flow. That seems the hardest for me.
