No insinuation; I'm just out-and-out SAYING it!! I'm a take-no-prisoners kind of girl, Beth. hahaha. He has me to remind him that we're comfortable now and can have some luxuries. Otherwise, he'd live a spartan lifestyle.

This is a witty short story which shows how stingy he is and how her jokes probably are not hyperbole but full truth. Maybe if he started coming to her shows then she would have to find new material.
