This sounds like a line from a vintage romance. I could visualize the young woman. Unsure when and who would catch her eye and heart. The gift could be taken two ways. Her heart or the virginity. Beautiful and mysterious. Gretchen

well, doesn't this ekphrastic senryu create a beautiful imagine in one's mind... and of course, backed up by the picture accompanying your suggestive and inviting poem.

I always really loved unwrapping gifts, I still do... unfortunately a gift such as this would be a very dangerous present indeed!

I love unwrapping presents too, but who doesn't? I have been exploring art nouveau ... I love it. Most of my poems, lately, are inspired by the paintings and whatever my muse is feeling .. sometimes she is up to no good. LoL naughty girl.

Excellent work and poem! I could relate to this. Any woman can wear tulle and immediately feel different. Each person's personality would be freed, in my opinion.

This was a great haiku, Gypsy. The young woman was dressed in tulle and the picture was next to one in roses. She was searching for her man and determinedly she sawed. She had her gift. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!
