Your story is quite a justified list of complaints about rising costs in society and the need to be more proactive in fighting back against big corporations etc. The truth is that the moment we get a mortgage we are immediately 'poor' because we have made ourselves dependent on the rich to service that loan and they will make sure they keep us down! You refer to many examples here and make your point admirably that we shouldn't just sit back and accept. At the end of para "Suppose everyone...Do you mean - price wars would occur to lure customers (away from) high priced restaurants...? I refuse to purchase some products that I feel are outrageously expensive. I agree with your point. If we keep paying higher prices, they will continue to increase. In the future, I may do without cable, my company is ridiculously over priced. Excellent article you have written and I am sure all of us can relate.
