I liked this poem. The fleeting nature of a wave is clearly portrayed. The abb cdd bb rhyme scheme hinted at the repetitious nature of waves.

nice simple poem about the nature of waves - they keep coming one after another then fading away sort of like life in a way we keep walking into the future with our prior actions fading into the past.

I love your poem. One of my favorite activities while sitting on a beach is to listen to the waves as they crash around the rocks, etc. it gives me a peaceful vibe.

I very much enjoyed your apt description of the tides, and how the waves reach the shore only to disappear. This is a perfect topic for the "The roaring sea" prompt. Your rhymes work very well, but I would have preferred if you'd used a consistent rhythm as well.
