Now why would he let his guard down so easily? I find it a little hard to believe that this wise guy would act so dumb.
That aside, this is well written and the dialogue is very good. I feel as though we are coming to an end with this fine story - just have to get through the mysterious fire first.
Until next week, my dear:-)

Nice job with this action packed chapter. It really got going as the criminal discovers the old shack and the old man inside, and breaks in and wheels him into a spare room. The two detectives seem to get dragged into the same trap, but Sally turns the tables magnificently in that bedroom, and kicks the kid out of the window to his demise. I loved all the details here, the discriptions of the house and the old man, the snarling dialogue from the criminal, the aplomb of the detectives. And you put plenty of personality in the dialogue too. estory

Ooooooh mmmmmyyyyyyyy GGGoosssshhhh. WOWZA, what a chapter and what a wonderful way to capture him. I gasped at the scene of the possible rape, but the way Sally handled it, saying she also dreamed of this day, I knew she was going to give it to him, but not what he thought. I think I got a head of myself, but this was too good. The beginning was great too, but this part was amazing. You just keep having those manicures, girl!! Lol.... But now with the house on fire and the old man is in the bedroom in a wheelchair. Oh Sally, save him somehow first. Grab your watch and call someone fast. I know she could get out safely as I am sure she has been trained for this, but that poor old man. Yet, I am sure he is already on your mind. But does she know about him? BRAVO, BRAVO to this chapter and ENCORE ENCORE!! I am loving this one so much! What an abundance of excitement and thrilling happenings that kept me on the edge of my chair. Awesome job my beautiful friend. One more word for it: GENIUS!!

Great chapter Sally as your namesake kicks FEE into submission. Your descriptions created a very visual scene and I could easily picture Detective Sally's prowess. Well told, cheers

The blind lady is very impressive. I understant why her husband said that she is the weapon. Does she know aboug the old man in the wheelchair. I'm wondering why the house is one fire. It much be something that Fee did to cause the fire. You've left us with a clift hanger. I look forward to the next chapter. The story is very exciting.

Man, you just let me suspended wondering what's next? Would the old guy be saved, what about Sally? Will the police and firefighters came before is too late?

Wow! What a chapter this is. Can't wait to see where it goes and hope Jackson is still handy or getting help. A few changes suggested. Everyone had on a protective vest[s], and w(as)[ere] weaponized,...edits ie vest as opposed to vests and was as opposed to were and due to the singular group "everyone"

Ah, Sally, you almost had to post a rated R on this one. :) Though truth be told the whipping the blind detective gave Fee was for free and it was violent. :) She should just tie him up and leave him there so he can have a taste of hell. Good story, Sally.

Comment from Loren .
You keep both the action and suspense going, Sally. Not that I am any Pollyanna, but I was curious how you would handle the sex and violence warning. But I will say you did it with finesse. I especially liked the quotes you used at the beginning. It was somehow comforting. Loren
