I like how you are using your son's tunnel adventures to come up with Elling's escape plan. But I sure hope that Lou Crenshaw will be caught for his criminal activity. Nothing should be worth his helping this killer escape.
Hope Greyson's information will bring all the evidence they need!

Oh my gosh, Sal, that was based on sometimes real? Ha Ha I have a little OCD so I was feeling squimish. But I'm ok it wasn't bad. I am wondering what the primal is doing being helped to escape? I might have to reread. Is he a surprise withes? I'm probably forgot something, Sal! Extraordinary writing and I hope I'm up to the latest chapter. Sometimes I have to back track. Your dialogues are masterful as always. I truly enjoy the back and forth coming from one very creative friend of mine, YOU!

Best wishes as always, Alex :)) xxoo

This is not going to be a merry Christmas for anyone if Fee has his way. Hopefully his plan doesn't work. Greyson being so helpful can possibly make a difference?

What an exciting chapter! First of all the excitement at the precinct, and the preparation for the wedding., I am excited to hear what it is that Victoria Coles, father has in her journals. Then I can't believe what a crook Fee's attorney has turned out to be. Expect from Fee but what a rotten lawyer. I'm still curious what the mustard is for as I expect or think that he will be using it on Sally
. Dear Lord, please don't let him hurt her. It's times like this. I have a hard time separating the character of Sally from my friend Sally. Yet I know that it is just a story, but I just get so wrapped up in it. I can't think of a better way, if Fee has to try to escape, I am glad that he's going in the way of the sewer tunnel, it serves him right.
What an awesome chapter this one was. It has so many twists and turns and exciting cliffhangers that I don't wanna wish away time but can't wait for the next one.
I'm so glad that I waited till I could relax and enjoy every minute of it. Thank you for an outstanding read tonight. It was brilliant. Bravo my friend. Bravo

Thank you for the wonderful review and generous starshine, my friend! I'm honored and blessed as always. No, Fee will not be using the mustard spread on me. He will eat it to induce vomiting and be taken to the clinic for treatment. You'll have to wait until next week to see if he's successful, and if he gets to the Blind Detective. Strap in your seat, darling, it will be quite the ride!

Once again, Sally, I have to complain about your chapter ending too soon! First we watch the interaction between the members of the precinct, then Greyson Cole shows up with news of more journals to prove the criminal activities of Fee, then we see inside the jail and of the plans for escape. It's really getting intense now.

Great cliff-hanger!!!

Hugs,
Rhonda

Never, ever too long, Sally! It seems I barely start reading and it?s over, then I go back and look and it?s much longer than it seems! The hallmark of a great writer!

Fee has an elaborte escape plan. I would he wouldn't be anxious to be in those tunnels. They sound gross but I guess he is desparate to get away. If he excapes, maybe someone will know where the tunnels exit and will waiting. I'm anxious to find out if he gets away.

I never thought of riting a novel or novellette. If someone came and ask if they could publish what I wrote, fine; otherwise I am leaving them to my college to do with them as they may.
Good luck on your continuing journey of the A.G. murders.

Having shorter chapters at this point in the book is wise, as it has an accelerating effect causing readers to keep turning pages, rather than put the book down.

Section One is a brief break for excitement about the new precinct headquarters, the good news about Captain Riley's coming wedding to Detective Betty Jo Jenkins, and Doc Stuart's demonstration of the Highland Fling.

In Section Two, they get back to business regarding Fee's approaching trial. Greyson Cole shows up with nine more journals he found in Victoria's condo, thereby providing much more evidence against Fee.

Then Tommy calls the sheriff about risk of Fee's attempt to escape, and is assured it would be "damn-near impossible"; yet we readers know what Sheriff Gonzalez doesn't. That's a brilliant way to boost readers' tension.

In Section Three, Attorney Crenshaw slips Fee three packets of the organic mustard spread Fee had requested. Then Crenshaw explains why Fee's plan to escape through the jail clinic's back door can't work, and offers a better plan involving the maze of city sewer tunnels and how to follow his route to a stairway up to the street where Crenshaw will be waiting with a car.

Thus, we are left at maximum suspense once again, which you are so good at doing. Superb, and aptly illustrated by the staircase.

You are most welcome, Sal. Yes, I like the twist. Maybe Fee will have to bribe a pack of rats or an alligator to let him pass. ;}} Yes, I'll hang on. :))))) -- Mike
